e-JR Voyager E > Emoli Cells in a VE - Has anyone tried?

Emoli cells are the new lipos type cells for power tools, and the guys with Swift and Logo 10 are using them to fly.

You can buy one 7S1P 3000mah 15C emoli pack that will fly a 30-sized heli for 6-9 minutes of 3D.

These cells charge at 3C.. so in about 15mins they are ready!

Which means with 2-3 Emoli packs, you can fly all day long.

Emoli packs sell for $70-$90 per pack. Maybe cheaper on Ebay

These are less than 1/3 the cost of a Thunder Power prolite 4200 6S2P equivalent.

So Has anyone tried these yet?

Weight is king on a 400 heli, and I don't think you will be happy at all using them on this bird..

The VE is larger then a 400 Sized Chopper. I have flown very well on 12 Cell NiMh 3300mah packs, these are heavy.

JR Voyager E is a 600 size helicopter.

why not

doesn't seem like it would be a problem at all.

in fact I just bought myself a new kontronics jazz 55-10-24 that I will be using to power the 7 cell emoli's on my voyager. I will have to sell the current motor setup I'm running in order to get the batteries, but when I do I'll let you know how it goes.

P.S. if anybody's interested I've got a kontronics smile 55-6-18, hacker 40/9 brushless and three 10 cell 3000 mah nimh packs I'm gonna let the package go real cheap. pm or email if interested.

The V28's will work well, if only you can find a way to mount them.
I have tried these cells on a few heli's now and they are great in all helis bigger than a trex. Because of the shape/size of the packs mounting can be tricky though.

we can never have too many, can we ?
