I am flying with 7.2v 6 cell packs....3800MAH and 4100MAH.....

The Tamiya connectors are starting to melt from the high voltage.
If I switch to the Dean's connectors, will they stand up better ??

They will. I noticed the same thing with that connector.

wow i'm surprised you had the balz to use Tamiya connectors on a heli setup. Deans are the best, that's all I've been using since I started this hobby and they haven't let me down since. Use them for regular cells and Lipos w/o any issues.

Just my ignorance since I'm a newbie at R/C heli's....I'm only about four months into it....there's lots of stuff to learn about proper setups and equipment.....

from the high voltage

voltage and current is still the same. Its just a longer flight time.

(and maybe my spelling to )

it's not high voltage.

connectors heat up and melt due to high current passing through
them and the connectors associated high resistance
