Well, this question already been discuss soo many times. since your subject is Avant, i think you already know the answer..of course Avant. let me give u a simple answer. have u ever hear anybody complaint about avant parts fail while they are flying..?
There are few advance technology that Stratus does not have..
1. True ccpm
2. Full Push-Pull control system
3. High engine location for low mass moment
4. Tank location close to the CG minimizes trim changes

plus you can get better customer service ...almost like Jeff Green (Hirobo).

i am not a rep for anybody, but i fly everything for past 5 years.. trust me u will not reget to get this helicopter.

I second that! I have 2 Avants and by far prefer them over my Stratus.

I am not going to say anything bad about the AVNT, but the bit that makes it SO EXTRA SPECIAL, is a man named AUgusto and all the CX crew. The service and backup makes paying £1000 for a heli MORE than worth it. If you are in doubt about which to go for, loof for comments on the service you get from the two sides, THEN make your choice. Because end of the day just buying the heli isnt all, there is setting up and tuning also, and CX are simply the best. Well thats not really fair, Jeff and augusto are both gods and are AWESOME guys. So choose the HAPPY side and get a heli you will love.

For me i dont think support does really matter because Im all the way in the other side of the world im in Kuwait but i guess you guys are right about the issues the stratus has so far the AVANT is better but another Q is it good enough with the stock evo head

i dont think it matters where in the world you are..augusto and the cx crew will take care of you.. dont be surprised if he chimes in on this post.. and customer service is a big thing when you need help and theres no one around you can turn too..my money goes to the companies that take care of their customers..thats what i'm paying for product and support.. just my .02

crashes sponsored by VISA, MASTERCARD, and AMEX.. just like your heli.. never leave home without it

If you already have the EVO 90 then go with the Avant. It will cost you alot more $$$ for a full up Stratus kit. I have an Avant EFX and it is a pretty nice ship. It always gets extra attention at the field. Even the plankers are drooling

the radio set-up is straight foward, what radio are you going to use? as far as swash values i'm in the low 40's i believe, I don't have the radio here in front of me. I use a straight line pitch curve in all modes, A straight line thrtle curve in normal 0-100%, a v-curve in ilde up 1 and a straight 100% line in idle up 2(revmax engaged). take your time with the radio set-up as with any heli and ccpm get the servo disks and the bellcranks right the first time. this will save you alot of headache later. also USE THE DISK! if you use the horns you may not get 12.5 from center. good luck with it.
