Those that filled out the form online have all been processed. The ones that were not processed were sent an e-mail indicating the reason. If you did not receive an e-mail, this means your revised parts are on the way.

Thank you,
Team Century

For clarification, you don't want a "flat" spot on the ball cause then it won't pivot, which it needs to do so make sure you sand/file the whole ball not just the top.

I ground mine down a heck of a lot so it was a sloppy fit in the head - there's almost no "roundness" left.

Why simplify when it's simpler to complicate.

As a further to my statement about the fit of the feathering shaft to the head -- mine "pops" into the centre with clearance around it when it is centred. I tried my spare shaft and it also is the same. I believe that is what Century wanted it to do as it never should be moving from being centred when operating. Even it you had to drive it in with a hammer it shouldn't make any difference as long as it had slop when in the middle. The ball is there for a reason so I don't think it should be turned into a straight shaft. This is just my opinion but they wouldn't have made it that way, as it cost more money to do so, than as a straight shaft.

Buy Swift Today = New Kit parts to fix wobble?

Do the new swift kits ( if you purchase one today) come with the updated parts to fix the head wobble?

When are these update parts gona Hit Canada, I was told by the Canadian century guy, that they may be here by the 15th??? Then he has to get them out to the local hobby shop. Why the long wait. The online form only applied to US customers when I went to fill it out. So when will I get mine??

Hey rfaster,

Yes the new kits are shake free and with all the new parts. Mine is a yellow canopy one and it was perfect out of the box. I haven't heard (read!) that any of the new ones have the shake so I think your good to go.

Wedge,

Hang in there bud! That sux you have to wait but as fast as our lives go the parts will be here before you know it. How are the hummingbird and shogan like to fly since you have been "swifted?" I haven't tried a micro or mini since I got the Swift. I had a T-rex with the Eco 8 I had and didn't care for it after I truely found out "Bigger is better!"

I'd been telling the wife that for years, never actually knowing it was true!!!

Light- thanks for the info... I'm itching to get one of these - was thinking about stopping by the Century shop tomorrow since they are just down the road.

I can say from experience that with Planes bigger is 100% better. My 33% was 100 % better than my trainer and my 40% is well lets just say when I get over the pucker factor of having 8K of plane in the air its quite amazing. I'm assuming the same is true for Heli's - that's why I really want to go 30 E soon!

litespeed600 The micro's, yes I don't fly them much, the shogun was good when it came out, I ve spent far too much on it, every now and again I hover it around the back yard, I never did get it totally sorted out, kinda lost interest in it, I haven't flown the Hummingbird in months and months, I would like to get a Trex though, two of my friends have them and still enjoy them, they both also have larger electrics. The swift is awesome, yes bigger is better in some respects I guess, although its smaller then the other heli's I had, I sold a Raven 50 and a Raptor 60 then got the swift, I just got tired of the glow heli thing, too much sh*t to haul around. Can't wait to get it totally shake free.

Dennisu - I am waiting for the shake free parts which I will install when (if) they arrive. Since I took the ball off the feathering spindle the shakes have almost gone.

I received my parts a couple days ago but I've been too busy to install them or to fly. Hopefully tomorrow at the station I'll get them put on and be able to hover and check it out

Ok, I got my parts today.

I will work on it tonight.

When putting it back together. it says to grease the thrust bearings with "synthetic hydrocarbon grease".

What the heck is that?

I have some tri-flow which is not grease, and I have some white lithium grease.

Is the white grease a synthetic hydrocarbon grease?

If not, what is everyone using?

thanks,

Scott

Moly lube is good, same as what you would use on points in automotive distributors. Check you local auto parts supply.
