Hey L0stS0ul,,

Are you still using your TP 1320 in your king? I was wondering how its holding up? I have my TP 3s 2000mah pro lite that does well, but I will have time to fly again soon and wondered if my Tp 1320 will take the beating of a second battery,,If I remember, i think it was making everything hot on me(esc, motor and the lipo itself)..Just wondering how yours was doin before I go and use it,,I have 2 more weeks of working 6 days a week then I can make time to go flying again!!

Hey Martin_gsxr,,

I still run the Tp 1320's on the King. Works great. I've also started using the MegaPower 1350mAh packs that helidirect sells. These are great packs. they are a bit heavier than the TP 1320's but they make up for it with duration and temperature. My 1320's usually come off the King on the hot side. I've not actually taken the temp but they are warm. The MegaPower pack comes off the heli cool to the touch. Performance seems to be exactly the same as the TP packs and they are half the price of a tp 1320 at only $28. I highly recommend these packs. I still run the tp packs sometimes but generally I'm saving them for my planes now. The MegaPower packs are my choice for the king. I even bought one of the MegaPower 2200mAh packs for a BeltCP when I buy it. Very Very happy with these packs.

I'm getting over 5 minutes on the 1350's. I have my timer set to go off at 5 minutes and I land.

I charge them with my triton and balance with a thunderpower balancer.

I've not yet decided. It's either a BeltCP or a SJM400. Won't buy anything till spring. Winter is no fun flying. I build my planes for spring in the winter.

I might have to get one of those megapower packs,,Have you heard any reviews on the BeltCP?? I know it came out right after I bought my king!!Go figure.. I thought about getting the bare bones kit and bringing everything from my king to it,,but figure the motor and lipo wont be enough for it..But then again I really havent had a chance to fly my king yet,,so guess I will wait till I get kinda good with it first.

Do you still like the King or are you ready for the Belt CP?

Do the mega power packs plug right up to the tp balancer or did you have to put a new plug on it?

The Mega Power Packs have a balance plug but it's not the same as the TP balance plug. I've not tried to balance it yet so I'm not sure what type of balance plug it is. I charge with my triton thru the deans.

The BeltCP is getting really good reviews. Everyone that's gotten one so far has loved it. Only negative is very few spare parts still.

Sorry to hear about that. Good luck trying to sell it. If I see anyone looking I'll let them know.

I just got done with a few upgrades to my heli today. I put on some CF t-rex paddles and also installed the E-Sky CNC washout. So now I have the CNC swash and washout on the heli. It's a very smooth flyer now.

Pictures and more info are here:

That sure is one good lookin heli L0stS0ul,,I have to be honest though ,,I wont be too upset if my heli dont sell It just kills me I dont have the time to fly like I used to,,My Cx just sold on ebay along with my Simulator and now its starting to set in.(its killin me).lol I planned on keepin the blade cp,,but if the king dont sell,,I will prob just sell the cp and keep the king and hope that work slows down.Did the CNC parts take that slop out of the washout??

The slop is completely gone. I took the heli out to the field tonight before the sun went down and the wind was lower. Wow what a difference. The combination of the new washout and the CF paddles was amazing. The control is just amazing. Stationary flips are absolutly no problem. Every tiny control input produces a response immediately now. No more lag from control to what the heli does. It's really amazing.

I don't think there is any real reason to get the cnc center hub and grip set. It's so expensive and I really don't think it's going to add that much more. the Swash and the Washout really change the heli. I also highly recommend the T-Rex CF paddles. Almost doubled my flip and roll rate.

Yea I saw that. Looks interesting but I think I'm done with this size heli. When I upgrade I think I'm going to put a less powerful motor in the King and see if I can't make it a scale model flier. Great fun but I've found I have a hard time keeping orientation with helis this small.

Oh I got some new video of my king today.

Hobby-Lobby sells it RTF for $300

http://www.hobby-lobby.com/honeybeeking.htm

It may not come with everything installed but it does come with everything you need. The quality of the parts is sketchy though:

The electronics in the package:
Receiver is ok...
speed controller is ok...
gyro is not very good...
servos seem to not be to good...
lipo is ok...
transmitter is ok but you really need a computer radio with this heli...

It will definitally get you flying but you'll probably begin upgrading components pretty quickly.

That was what I needed... Thanks.

Afte flying a Micro Mosquitto all day (and having it fall apart) I really need to get something, but I may pass on the king for now and maybe just go with a Honey bee or something similar.

The King is a fantastic heli...I went from a Trex, to a Blade CP to a HB King and the king is almost identical in stability like the trex but smaller, I LOVEEE IT...Ordered the top metal head with button, and now the bottom half will be here wed...Shes a real beauty and EVERYBODy loves watching it fly at the field its soo smooth and soo precise.

Even with a 15 foot drop from loss of power, it bounced on super kids, tipped over and 0 damage.

I would only reccomend a RTF if you can get it from someone who used seperate electronics like the one I got.
