Check out Steven Gerrard test flying his new Avant this weekend. The video is not the best quality as a white heli on a white sky is not the easiest scenario for the camcorder to focus on.
You can hear the wind on the camcorder it was blowing pretty good 10 - 15mph and steven flew the avant as if it was flat calm. The piro tick tocks are simply Awesome!!!
The Avant was the EFX conversion with the programable head, Motor was OS91 SZ, running the OMI big bore carb and cline regulator. The gear ratio was not quit optimal for this motor set up but the new gear is on the way.... If anyone wants any more specification detail I am sure Ste would be happy to post it.
Cheers

Hey Steven, your flying looks just awesome! The Avant looks so light and nimble in the air, could you tell us the weight of your machine ready to fly? And could you tell us what your setup is, please?
Thanks

Nice flying Steven. If that gear ratio wasn't optimal, you certainly didn't make it look that way. Just curious, what ratio was that and what headspeed were you using?

Thanks Chris. Holy Sh*t! Steven sems to get better each time I see him fly. With that sort of flying I hope to see him at the top at 3D Masters. I'm loving the Avants too right now - they're real light and look great (although I haven't got one!). Is Steven sponsored by Avant/carbon xtreme??? Or Raptor?????

Alan Snr .. There is no sun in the UK, it's always cloudy, or windy or raining, actually its usually all three at the same time.. lol But then you know that already you have been to enough 3 D masters.. lol
Cheers

The weather has been rubbish at the moment. The winds are just stupidly strong - I haven't been able to get out flying On calmer days it's raining and any other days its windy (yesterday = 30mph winds!)
