Ok so I got the heli off the ground into a hover but it was very twichy and not smooth. I decided to try a 6v park BEC to power the 4 servos and gyro. It is much smoother than it was. Not perfect just better.

I was wondering if the BEC voltage is too much for the servos They are rated at 4.8 to 5.3 volts they are the original servos equiped with the blade.

Well to be honest I am not sure who the email goes to,I have used the contact us form on the icon page, first one I asked to be put on the list, second time I used the contact us to ask how far out you were.

I will go try again I guess.

Ok,I just went back and read your post JB642
My post had everything to do with this thread(Icon),they were who I was talking about when it came to not answering me back from their website and I was venting about the tail motors because I am sick of it and want a belt drive tail
Personally I see this Icon conversion as the only real solution to tail motor burn out problem the BCP has and I will either buy the kit and upgrade or sell off the BCP and get a better heli.

I heard about it jb but never tried it. Actually my tail motor lasted a little more then 50 flights I think it was about 60 or 65 flights and it still was working but on a few occasions it would swing the tail to one side so I replaced it to be on the safe side.
I hear on the DD tail drive you got really short flights but no one has answered my question yet. To answer your question no I don't have DD since I don't have a problem with the tail and I'm happy with my current setup. I have not tried the diode drop although I heard about it long while back. Only thing I hate about my blade is I cannot fly it on a windy day. Jimmi

Jimmi -

Are you DD and did you try the diode voltage drop?

wo23dodge-

My point was - make your post clear! This is not a place to whine and complain; it is a place to get answers to your "specific" questions!

Have you sent a PM to CRB68 as per my recommendation???

You have e-mail. Sorry about the delay in responding, but I have no record in my pile of e-mails of your attempts. I have discovered that I am not getting all of the e-mails that are being sent. Guess the Cyberspace gremlins may be hungry.

Yeah, that's one of the cleanest ICON installs I've seen. What common sense lipo are you running there? I got one of their 8c 800mah 3s, but its only a bit lighter than the TP1320 I already have. I was thinking of getting at least one TP battery in the 700-800mah range for stunting around.

He sold that.

I bought it,soon I hope to have pictures, first I need to find out what else I need to put it in the air,not sure if the Blade CP stuff will fit that main shaft or if I also use the Blade main rotor blades.

Wo23dodge, the only Blade parts I used were the servos and the head plastic parts, flybar, paddles, main blades. I bought an aluminum head from Flightech usa.

any chance you have a link to that part from flightech? and is it a head for a Blade CP or will this accept parts from other helis now?

I'd like to put this in the air soon, just found I have a brushless laying around that should work along with all the servos,RX,lipo and the ESC for the brushless.

i would not go for flightech head, the rc expert or helidirect head will be much better and cheaper.
