Longer blades = more thrust, more stability and more manuverability.

All things being equal, I would assume lower headspeed and higher amp draw. Correct?

Hey guys,

It will be soon.
One of my machines is down. Burnt motor, so I am waiting on parts to get it running again and I can finish cutting the CF parts.

Hello Guys,

Just an update for you all.

An issue came up with the new servo towers and tailboom mount placement. I am investigating it thoroughly before I let any more kits out the door. I expect that the issue will be resolved this week and then the kits will go out.

Hope you all understand my position since I don't want any issues to go unresolved before you all receive your kits.

Thanks

Thanks alot for the update PJ, I would rather have most if not all the bugs worked out before they are shipped. It is frustrating on our end because we are all anxiously awaiting to see it and start putting it together but we are kind of blinded by the manufacturing end when we don't get any feed back.

Thanks

Thanks PJ -

I appreciate that you want to send us a quality product! I can wait for a while longer to put my "Icon Razor Blade" together!

I just got home from vacation with a white shipping tube from Icon waiting for me. I opened here up, and it looks great. Surprisingly lightweight and appears to be very strong. I also have the servo tower upgrade, which is very nice.

While I'm rebuilding the honeybee, does anyone have any recommendations for a 8-9t 2.0mm pinion that they know works and meshes correctly with the main gear of a hummingbird. I've always used the stupid long brass pinions from helihobby, and they chew up gears something fierce. Is there a consensus "best" pinion pick?

Can't wait to get it together and take the "Razor" for a spin!! Anybody else get theirs yet?

Hello everyone,
I was blessed to order the blade cp kit from Icon Micro when it first came out and I can tell you it's worth waiting for. I'm using the weighted MS Composit cf 255 blades and this heli is so sweet ,I call it my mini Trex.

Yeah, definately build photos. I started to put it together at my desk the other day, in between waiting for query results to come in, but thought better of it. Might as well take my time and document things.

Arnie, sounds real nice. I have some $20 CF blades from helidirect on the way. I'm also waiting for a new pinion, the one on my motor is about shot and really chewed through the stock gear. I don't want to ruin the century gear if I can at all help it.

I got mine

I received mine about 2 weeks ago but have yet to assemble it. It's been hectic on the job so I've had to take a break from the heli world. I hope to reengage during this long holiday weekend though.

Hello Aron,
Just checked out your website and I must say it is very nice and informative. I love Peyton Manning and the Colts since the Lions are on a fifty year loosing streak.
I have both heads to use on my belt drive Blade CP/Honeybee ,the stock Blade CP head is on right now ,but since I have the weighted cf blades I need to put the bell-hiler on.

Build/Review thread

I have started a build/review thread for my ICON Blade frame. I am including lots of photos for anyone that is thinking about getting one.

I think that thread is going to be a godsend, because already I am slightly confused about the parts terminology. I think I could figure it out, but you blazing the trail will be nice.

The carbon fiber parts are pretty. I'd forgotten how mesmerizing a nice cf finish can be.
