akerkhof,

I am so jealous. You MUST post pics as soon as you get it. As many close up high resolution photos as possible!

March 6th. It's been a long wait, but I'm sure it will be worth it. Reading the other comments about it at the other sites has me drooling.

Hi All,

I know you're all waiting on your frames. I have had mine for a while, with a hummer elite fp head on her. There are pix and video on my gallery to hold you over until you get yours!

I really like this frame setup a ton. I'm sooo glad to be rid of that pesky tail motor crap!. She flys really well and is really quiet. The direct drive tail I had sounded like a weedwhacker!!

there are also some build notes in my Misc. section. These outline areas I either goofed up or had to make some mods to my components.

Cheers,
Leslie

Hopefully the frames don't take too long to get finished up. It's bad enough having to wait up to an extra month for stuff to get mailed into Canada (stupid customs.....), let alone if there is a huge delay in the manufacturing/mailing out process.

Oh well, the frame looks nice, and I'm sure it will be worth whatever wait I have to deal with.

Well, as long as I get it before HeliDirect releases their beltdrive conversion..............

Sweet! I ordered mine about the same time. So not much longer to wait. And all the other bits should arrive this week!

The last PM I sent to him was this morning but I haven't gotten a reply yet. He last replied back to me on 8 March. To all, please don't misconstrue my input here. I am, in now way, trying to slay, bash, or slander him because I'm sure he's doing what he can to get his product out to the masses. I'm simply rendering the info that I have to give everyone an idea of where he might be with things at this time. I'm patient just because I have other projects that I'm working on like my QJ8 and EP10. Some of you are probably a LOT more anxious about this than I am so I hope we'll see our kits soon. I support what he's doing but I hope he will also keep us up to speed as to what's going on and where he is with this. Sorry for the blah blah blah... Just my 1/2 cent

Sincerely,
Ken

Thanks to all who are patiently waiting for their kits.

It has been unbelievable around this place getting everything built(shop, etc.) then having to find a reliable source for the CF and getting the machines installed and calibrated.......

I have had to change my model from making up the kits individually as the orders came in to more of a manufacturing model of making up the components of the kit (17 of them per kit) and establishing an inventory of the parts so that the kits can then be assembled, packaged and shipped.

I expect to get ahead of the 8 ball here very soon as the ramping up is nearing completion.

Thanks again to all for your patience and I beleive and hope you will realize the wait was worth it.

Thanx PJ

I, for one, appreciate the update. As I figured, you're swamped without a paddle. I'm not going anywhere soon (or so I hope) and even if I do, my wife can pass it to my kids. I'm just thankful the people like yourself are willing to embark upon such daunting tasks as this. I wish I had the genius to do so but I'm better at taking someone else's idea and enhancing it. I don't want to be like the Chinese Knockoffs being marketed and that's what you'd get from me if I tried to do this. Thanx again for the update, good luck and God Bless.

Sincerely,
Ken

PJ,
Thanks for the update. No worries. I'm exicited to get started on this puppy, but I can wait. And I've got other projects. Need to rebuild one of my rexes after the mess I made of it last Sunday. Tonight I'm rebuilding servos! Finally got my replacement gear sets.

CRB68, good to hear the frames are underway. I'm looking forward to recieving mine and building it up.

Are the tailbooms on the different versions of the kit (Blade CP vs. 3D-Pro) the same length?

I'm trying to figure out if I can get away with a slightly longer main blade then what the Blade CP uses (like the Century 3D-Pro blades). Has anyone tried this?

Hello bRIBEguy

I'm trying to figure out if I can get away with a slightly longer main blade then what the Blade CP uses (like the Century 3D-Pro blades). Has anyone tried this?

You can use blades as long as 272mm which is the Shogun size. That means blades from the 3D Pro, King and Shogun are possible.

Sorry for being such a newbie on this, but what are the advantages/disadvantages of longer blades?

Thanks!!
