Hi Mike,

The gang here went through a video phase a month or two ago. do a search for video on the century forum and look for the following users:
slider46, skeeter pilot, rodgersresort, leslie

I have a couple videos in my gallery of an fp elite hummer, close to the v3.

you will like the v3, it's a solid hard to kill bird. The parts are cheap and easy to fix.
this bird handles great indoors and outside in little to no wind. it's a great choice for a first bird, and i've been flying for a few years and it's still great for indoors in the winter to keep the skills honed.

overall i would give it a great rating for this type of flying. it is not agressive but it handles like the 'big boys' for training purposes.

Cheers,
leslie

thanks for the replies. my main concern is that it is fairly stable to fly. i am just looking for something to have fun with. i use to fly nitro helis, but the time i was putting in was just to much.that is why i want a electric that is stable and simple to maintain. also the the link listed by slider does not seem to work for me. thanks guys.

and what li-po battery to use on the hummingbird. i see there is a 11.1 volt (700 mah.)and 7.4 volt (700 mah.)and a 7.4 volt 1320 mah. the 1320 might be to heavy and is the 7.4 volt enough power. i would like to take the heli outside in the early morning when around here it is calm, but i did not know if the higher voltage 11.1 would make it more sable or if the 7.4 volt would work just as well. any help please. thanks mike.

Your're going to want to stay with a 2s lipo 1300-1500 7.4 volt It will let you fly with the stock bird electronics but will give you a longer flight time. IF you go with the 11.1 volt you will need to change all of the electronics to handle the power and it's just not worth the investment in a v3....

can someone tell me the weight of the stock 600 mah. battery that comes with the hummingbird v3? and is the 5 in1 ok, or is it necessary to install seperates?

Hi Mike50,

I tripped across one of my old birdseed batteries. It weighs in at 91.3gms.

Best of luck with your endeavors!

Cheers,
Leslie
