Hello guys.
im gonna order a Piccolo PRO soon and i wana know if anybody has any expirience with it , how it flies with the stock engine (410) and 8 or 9 cell packs by Ikarus ?
which servos should i use for it ? the micro 100 or micro 200 ?
any other info would be helpful !
thanks.

Try to keep it as light as possible because tossing it around will be easier. So, I would go with three HS50 servos(www.servocity.com).

Just wondering, what kind of charger do you have? If you have a charger that can only handle Nimh and Nicad I would go with 8 Powerx cells(www.eflightpacks.com) because these can handle high current draw but have a resonably high capacity(700mah). If your charger can do lithium ion I would go with three Kokam 1000mah cells(www.helihobby.com) because this has a higher voltage than the 8 Powerx but are lighter. Three Kokams will give you insaine power or so I have read. Personally I would go with the 8 Powerx because you can charge them faster and they can take more of a physical pounding.

The stock 410 should give you lots of power for as long as the brushes are alive. As soon as it dies buy Orion Elite modified motors, because they are lighter and more efficient but they have lots of power(www.helihobby.com)

Just so you know I dont have a Piccolo Pro but I have something similar I made out of purly aftermarket part.

Piccolo Pro Instructions

I just purchased a piccolo pro It had all of the key pieces of equipment that you need to build the heli. Unfortunately it was missing the most necessary piece of equipment, the instructions I got in contact with Ikarus. They emailed me instructions. However they were just text. Does anyone have instructions with text that they can send or post on a website?
Thanks,
Rich

I have the piccolo pro. I do not have the piccoboard pro. The piccolo pro will work without the piccoboard pro.

Why

Unless I am mistaken, which I am wrong quite often, the only difference between a pro and a normal piccolo is the collective pitch. The collective pitch uses another servo. The piccoboard plus and or pro only have the capability to handle two servos, main rotor and tail rotor. The collective pitch still has to function on its own servo. The piccoboard pro is just an upgraded plus. This is why people can retrofit their old piccolos to handle collective pitch.

I think

As soon as I get instructions with pictures I will be able to tell you if I am right.

Hello folks
go here
www.skylinemodels.co.uk
and follow the link to reports for BobJ's review of the PicPro.
Managed a brief hover with mine, looks good but will have to buy a house with a bigger living room or wait until daylight and try outside

Hmmmmmm.

How big is a HS-50 servo? If you are trying to keep weight down wouldn't one of these be better?http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/444052.asp
I've used several cirrus servos in my birds and always have been satisfied with them..
