Just as a complete aside..

I'm waiting for some sort of 'page 8' revelation here.

Oh, and I am relatively happy having chosen g3 as my sim of choice. Yes, for heli pilots their expansions are horribly overpriced pieces of marketing gone wild, but on the other hand you can now import any model you'd care to make.. meh.

Come on page 8!

[edit] I forgot to add that I'm appalled at the harem scarem tactics that letter pushes. Sounds an awful lot like the RIAA's shenanigans.

I wouldn't do anything to suggest that you have used the cable with Reflex if I were you. Sending the cable to them would infer that you had used the cable with a copy of the software that you have not legally purchase. As some have pointed out here ownership is PROBABLY not illegal, but it's use maybe.
I'd say nothing and if pressed again state that the interface was never used with Reflex.

I support them because I think they are right in what they are doing to protect their business

Well you got me puzzled. You own another good sim but you see Reflex is the victem of piracy and feel so sorry for them that you'd like to help them and buy their product. All this while you also don't like their letter. This is beyond me. If you like to spend money on the underdog there might be better ways to spend it.

Of course if you just like the product Reflex I can see why you'd buy it but the reasons that you give on this thread look more like an attempt at trolling. (and I'm more than happy to bite )

I can see the letter`s were a bit harsh and the price of xtr is steep but thats no excuse.
lets have a poll to see who got the cables in question and have NEVER used it on reflex, which they must of got from some dubious means or they would have the original cable.(my cable stopped working and i got a replacement from reflex no problem).
At the end of the day you know you are bucking the system, thats up to you.your proberly playing it on a pirate version of xp.
in my eyes these people who get the letters should just take it as is,ignore it and do not feel hard done by.

being a interface cable that works with multiple sims, i wonder it would work on car games?

I got my G2 controller to work on need for speed once, and mech warrior too.

NFS was cool cause i flick a switch and i had nitro

That was not my intention but I am glad my post had an impact on you!

Really, so now I should think you know how I should spend MY money! For a lot of people, buying R/C helicopters is not the best way to spend you money but I love it and I could not care less about what other people think about the way I spend my money.

You are right in your assumption I like their sim and for long time I was flirting with the idea of buying it -this thread was just adding more points.

If you checked my profile you will see I don't really do that. I am not trying to become a veteran any time soon, I don't even post that often. You think I am a troll, that's fine, I don't care either.

Once again, good luck to everyone, I hope everything works out good for all of you!

No I didn't mean that. Obviously you should spend your money the way you see fit. I was merely suggesting that if you want to spend money on an underdog for the sake of supporting the underdog (nothing to do with the product) there may be better underdogs than Reflex.

Boy, I'd hate to read the thread that would actually subtract points.

Simster, I'm not disappointed ... yet! Until I see proof and facts to back-up some of the posts in this thread, both pro and con this issue, everything has to be treated as BS. For all we know these letters weren't even written by Reflex but perhaps by someone that wanted to tarnish their reputation. Then again, we've all seen some of the posts and comments made by direct Reflex folks and their close supporters in other threads/forums before, which seem to be similar to the tone and attitude demonstrated in the letter. Only time and FACTS will help us understand the TRUTH. For now everything is BS until proven and backed-up by facts; until, I plan on keeping an open mind!

Theres nothing I can say to add to this, but if SwissTony or whatever/whoever he is works for reflex themelves then I am frankly appalled by his attitude. In actual fact I'm not sure if SwissArrogant has anything to do with relfex - he keeps switching between 'Them' and 'We'perspectives, possibly to mask his perspective.

Appalled, appalled, appauled.

If reflex bring out an update that requires me to buy a new interface (which is what SwissTwat is suggesting) because they failed to make the product i have already spent 130 quid on foolproof, i will absolutley and unequvacally tell them to stuff it the best way I can. By walking in the other direction, gently cradling my already overstreatched wallet.

Appalled.

Either way this is a prime example of how not to market yourself, and should feature in marketing degree's in any self respecting university.

well webhost, one thing i learnt many years ago is no matter what the situation is,always cry wolf, always.if things really are that bad then telling every body will do no harm.................however if things are very rosy indeed, telling every body can seriously damage your image.............................

all comments are my opinion only!

eep.

Found this thread whilst looking for details on where to get a replacement lead for my reflex sim. Kinda skimmed through all the bullocks but am I right in assuming I cannot get a replacement for the one i left in my hotel whilst on holiday? I have purchase reciepts to prove I own it.
If I cant, can someone point me in the direction of the cable thats the cause of all this upset I couldnt give a toss about the legal aspect, reflex or whomever makes the other cable, I just want a replacement. Chuuuur!
