that is GREAT news. I think that a smaller cheaper diamont would be a fun way to try the RZK mechanics without having thousands of dollars in a crash!

Hello,

there might be later a mini version too

The heli is very resistant ( believe me, we have crashed one badly becasue of a tail servo dying and short cricuiting receiver .
But main frame was ok excet landing gears.
We broke Tail boomm, blades, flybar, exhaust and canopy.
And main mast was bent too lol !

Some people do not like the canopy so as requested we are designing a new one and it will be finnished in a few days now.

I'll post only pictures and technical informations on this post, i hope you can understand.
For any other matter, please send me PM

Thanks,

Fabien

Hello,
Will there be an other gear ratio in option for this heli (main and tail ? As I also think that for OS engines more than 8.4 is not enough for hard 3D !

Hello,

the actual gear ratio (1:8)gives plenty of power, the helicotper is not heavy and we have tested OS SX with and without pump, with and without nitro and yamada motors, we are fully satisfied with the performances so far.
Tail is rock solid, and for further gear ratios maybe we will test witht the electric version but for gaz engine it works perfect as we fly as well with an OS Sx with no pump and 0% nitro and the helicotper flys perfect and has here again plenty of power.

I would say that the gear ratio is one thing, but blades, pitch settings and throttle curve are important things as well, and motor settings as well.

All the development has been workaroundand differnet gears ratio tested and so far the stock one is very nice.

Anyway, we will consider this request and see in wich way we could offer the choice for the GEar Ratio in the next monthes if that is possible and if we notice significant performances differences with other gear ratios.

Please feel free to sublit us what kind of motor exaclty you were thinking about and the headspeed you would intend to reach, this would be easier to look in details.

Thanks a lot for your message,
Fabien

Hello, I have read on page 4 of this forum that the actual ratio is 8.57 main and 4.66 tail and that's why I agreed to the comment that it would be difficult to reach 2000 rpm head speed ! Now if you say that it is 1:8 then it's perfect ! Looking forward to see some more videos !

Hi powerflyer,

the ratio main is 1:8
ratio tail is 4.66
and can be changed to 4,93 (but 4.66 was better by the testflys)

Hello,

here is a link to a video of this summer flights.
Motor was quite dead ( pump defective) and it was the very first flight from Alain casinelli with the machine, he just discovered it and used UWe Transmitter.

http://www.e-copter.com/diamont/vid..._rcmco_2006.avi

Despite a big lack of power, he could perform lot of smooth 3D and youc an alreayd see the pitch authority and the very nice stabitily of teh helicopter with crisp inputs reactions

BEst regards,

Fabien
