Hello John,

the gear wheel relationship is 1:8,57 to 1:4,66

Steve, I am impressed with the helicopter, but both those ratios are off for a 3-D helicopter. The 8,57 may be alright for YS, but it is too high for the OS, and the 4,66 tail ratio is too low for good tail rotor control.

Is it possible to change the ratios to 8:1 for the head and around 4.9-5.0 for the tail?

I am excited to see some video of this... has the canopy come out yet?

The moving servo mounts are something I would have to see in person to believe!

Hi guys,

just a small word to tell you that the canopy is soon finished, we had difficulties to make the angles come out correctly from the mold with first vesion so we had to start back from scratch (canopy is quite special shape).
I'll ask Uwe if i'm allowed to put a pic of the canopy master so you can see how it looks like.

Thanks for your patience, and i'll update the post as sn as the canopies are sent to Uwe at MBS Schulze.

Simon if you need any further informations, just PM me

regards,

Fabien

Hi guys,

you will have to wait for official review from Rotor Magazine before pics are released with the canopy.

Simon, i had Uwe over the phone and we are making as fast as possible. I saw you flew with Millenium canopies. May i ask you what colors you like? We will make another one for yourself in the batch of the ones for Uwe.

fabien

Whatever you do, just make sure it looks good. It would be a shame to see such fine looking mechanics ruined with a POS canopy. The design should also accomodate popular exchausts like MP2, Hatori, and Zimmerman (to name a few) without cutting.

Hi Guys,

the canopy model has been suplied to us by Mr Shulz who made it with plastic parts

We have scanned the shape to get the sizes and measure and then we have re drawed it fully in 3D with Powershape software to ensure perfect geometry an symmetry.

the very first canopy has been sent to Uwe Shul today and 5 others are made this week end including Simon's one.

I can not how the pictures of the molds or canopy as Mr Shulz would like to ait having the canopies painted for official presentation.

All i can say is that it is an unusual shape and looking at the canopy alone is quite strange but on the helicopter it is really nice and agressive.

Uwe Shulze is driving to France next week at our RCMCO meeting to make us a fling demo and i will bring him the painted canopies ( Joel will paint them this week). So we will upload lot of pics and even maybe videos after the week end ( mmeting is 14, 15 and 16th of july).
Best regards,

Fabien

was it the white spy or the black one that designed that canopy?

Damn if that green canopy is the production canopy, they might as well forget promoting the helicopter, it just does not look right.

Spy vs Spy...

I'm with you Crasy Horse, this canopy just don't work. Heck, you can poke your eye out just by looking at the darn thing hovering nose-in! But if this is it, then that's that. Oh well...

Kind of over cliche that the Diamont has a diamond shaped windshield. It's funky but I like it. It would take some getting used to. It's almost as different as the Kyosho Caliber 30 canopy.

you can put whatever canopy you want on it. Those are dam fine mechanics like I have never SEEN before!!! I hope someone is working on an e-conversion, this thing would be even more expensive than the Roxxters... but even more exclusive too!

thanks for posting the pics! i don't really like the canopy either!

Hi guys,

i'll post pics from the meeting tomorrow.
Thansk to uwe and Simon for coming meeting us in France, it was realy a nice time
Uwe did let some pilots test the helicopter and this was really great from him.

About the canopy, after all this heli is unique and has an unique canopy.
But i'll talk with uwe to see if i can submit him another design for people wanting really another canopy than this one.

One thing is that the canopy makes the heli look really very thin and agressive. As Uwe said, he can not please to all and if the mechaincs pleases this is already the most important.

Damn i loved pilotiing the machine but i was a lot frightened lol and the tail howed my fingers shaking.

This isvery very precise, and when you make a loop or a roll or come out of a long turn the heli tays perfectly straight, is it quite impressive.

And it is very, very very nervous on demand, Simon made a little demo, ouch ouch ouch it is very fast and furious )

Best regards,

fabien
