e-copter Senior Heliman Location: Nice, France
| Hi GUys,
i just talked to Mr Schulz about hte Diamont.
This is hell of a heli
About the rotor head the elevator servo makes pitch and aileron servo support rotating ( a little like old Schluter / champion / futura servo system in H2, except that here the way the arms are designed make the whole assembly more precise).
then it seems that the top hat slides up and down with the mixing vertical levers, and then on the flybar, the left and right things around teh flybar and on which the blade grips are linked move freely under the flybar itself. If they were locked on the Flybar it would not allow pitch change on the blade grips.
And then finally, the flybar pivot rotates as a result of the mixing, forward and backward to modify the flybar phasing when the flybar tilts in it.
I tried to explain it in simple way and when i talked to Mr Schulz it seems that i'm close to the way it works or i did not understand very well loool )))
Anyway this is a great heli, and i think that the way the flybar phasing is dynamically changed makes the heli acting like if you had a joystik in the hand: no parasite movements, no distortion of the inputs due to gyroscopic effect and pitch / cyclic changes, just.. perfect ))
Hope to get one of these birds one day :
