Computer Flight Simulators > Which simulator to get???

Hi everyone...I am looking to get a simulator as I am just starting out with helis and a crash with a reset button sounds a lot cheaper right now! haha....my question is what simulator is the best...most realistic? I'm looking at the Realflight G2, G3, and the Reflex XTR...I was told the G2 is more realistic in actual flight characteristics than the G3. I haven't seen the XTR yet but have heard good things. My computer won't have a problem running any of them on the highest detail settings so I was wondering what to get...and help would be great!

id go with the g3. if you get the addons 3 with raptors they fly great. ive had g3 and xtr and love G3. its very realistic and easy to use. also you get the joystick with it and still can use your own radio. you get more for your money with it. you ownt be unhappy

You might also take a look at 'Clearview' - only $30, but you'll need to come up with your own transmitter / interface. See [http://www.rcflightsim.com]

Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups.

DEFINATELY the G3, the most realistic flying characteristics out there. I've flown the Aerofly deluxe, the reflex the G2 and now the G3. There's no comparison to the G3. If you want to go for looks, you can go with the reflex, but if the realistic feel is what you're looking for, then the G3 is the way to go.

I have Realflight G2, Realflight G3, Reflex XTR, FMS, and Clearview. Clearview is extremely accurate (moreso than G2 or G2, and VERY close in flight characteristics to Reflex. FMS is just trash and will NOT help with your real-world flying.

With Clearview, some of the niceties are missing, and all of your pitch mixes are not made in the transmitter interface, but are made in the program itself (Clearview has throttle and pitch curves, 5 points each).

For the money, Clearview is by far the best value ($40, and another $40 for the interface). Reflex XTR is by far the most accurate, but requires a bit of computler horsepower to perform well. G3 comes in next, but has some SERIOUS problems with ground handling. G2 comes in next, but the flight physics are not up to par. The worst simulator from this set is FMS.

Ask three different people get three different answers. I use XTR I like the fact that I can use my own transmitter.
