Compass Knight 50 > Knight50 strange gear noise...

I finally took my Knight up today for a couple hover tests. All was well after reversing the Gyro and getting the fan nut back on tightly.
The main gear assembly is making a whine while spooling up. I think I can probably re-seat all the bolts for the start shaft/pinion, and the motor mount. This, theoretically, would let me push on the pinion/clutch bell forward, while tightening the bolts. This in theory would loosen up the gear/pinion mesh a little.
I was wondering if anyone else had a similar issue with their Knight?

Also I have to re-measure the tail control rod length. I hardly have control one way, while the other way is nice and strong.
Anyone have a distance for the tail slider, from tail case hub to inner slider hub while at neutral(locked heading)???

Thanks for any help.

Congratulations.

Regarding the noise it could be :-

where the bearing block holding the engine pinion. If you have noticed carefully the bearing is not center but is offset to a side. Maybe you have installed it the wrong way. This would make the pinion and gear mesh very tight.

Another problem that I have encounter is where the 1 way bearing is loose at the auto rotation hub. It is not that the 1 way bearing is faulty but poor machined 1 way hub.

I hope this helps.
