| Yes, it resembles that of a MA head and uses some design principles that are tried and true, but this head is vastly more adjustable and more precisely designed. The quality of materials surpasses that of MA, which I thought was impressive since MA has always been the cream of the crop when it came to quality.
Anyway, This rotorhead may seem complex(was to me at first), but it really is simple with the 5 pre-selected settings for your taste. Then, once you understand what you want after that, the manual tells you what to do for more of this, or less of that.
I don't find the parts count to be overly extensive. Every part and spacer is where it needs to be, no more no less. By looking at it, I could probably build this head for the first time in about less than 25 mins. Probably 15 mins once I am acquainted where things go by heart.
I don't know about the VStabi stuff, but in my experience there is no substitute for actual head geometry that dictates the way a rotorhead truly responds.
This head is not made for people who can simply out fly a Raptor head, which Alan Szabo Jr. can't seem to out fly either. Rather, embrace it as a flavor of the hobby and helicopters. How boring would it be to have only one type of helicopter out there? You don't have to be a heli god to enjoy this type of precision and quality.
Heck, I would probably buy this head and just put it on display cause its just so awesome looking!
