Hey guys,

A buddy of mine has one of these & we are about to get it going. What's the best motor & ESC for this machine? We are going to try to use the new Li-ion cells that are coming in the Milwaukee drills wired 7s, so it will be getting plenty of power.

ESC

From one of the guys on RCGroups, get your HV45 straight from Castle Creations because it's a better probability of getting a "GOOD" one. Also, Harold from Helicopter Hobbies either has or will be getting real soon, so HV Quark ESCs which have been producing excellent results according to those he's sold to. A few people here use them so hopefully they'll chime in and let you know.

What's your flight times like with these cells? I'm planning on using 9-10 GP3300s to start with. I'm just curious what the flight times might be like...

I have just put in an ACTRO 24-4 HELI with CC85HV and 6s config.
I will post how does it behave.
If not enought power will go with 8s.
I will post my impresions.

I had a Hyperion 4025/10 and was not enought on 6s.
