Hello,

Here is a question about the cal 30 head setup.

This diagram represents the mixing arm. The setup out of the box is the swash plate link is connected to hole 'd', and the blades to hole 'b'.

Is this the '3d' setting or not?

Has anyone experimented with all the available combinations?

Yup, out of the box, the caliber is setup with the more sensitive mixing arm control layout. All you have to do is get your pitch curves right and you have a very capable machine.

Has anyone tried the different set-ups?

Does the heli get more sensitive if you use hole 'c' instead of 'd'

The C30 seems to be very tame when compared to the R30. Is it just me, or can I liven it up a bit?

The out of the box setting is the most responsive for the mixing arm. If you are finding the helicopter a little tame, here are the four things I would look at.

1.. Ensuring you have maximum travel accross the swashplate.

2. Turn your expo down.

3. Think about increasing your head speed. I have found the faster the head speed the faster the cyclic response.

4. Consider upgrading to digital servo's.

I personally have some 30% expo and the machine set up in CCPM mode and very little stick movement is needed to make huge changes to the direction of the helictoper. I can't imagine what it would be like with 0% expo!
