I just bought my cal 30 a few days ago, and was wondering how to set up the servos either for ems or mms I don't understand the differance .
I have a jr xp652 which is capble of ccpm I just need to know which setup to use?

You can use either!

EMS (CCPM) is much simpler and what most people are setting up their calibers with. MMS is necessary if your radio doesn't mix CCPM or you want to use something like the Co-Pilot. Also, CCPM will be a bigger drain on your batteries since more servos are in action at any given time.

It's pretty cool that you can do both with the Caliber. If in doubt, go with EMS (CCPM).

Hi,
ems is easier thats right, but if you use cheap servos like me than the swash plate will not move right because of different servo speeds. It is visible in light acrobatic (before entering the loop) and in hover. When you add more colective you have to make corections on nick or roll.

If you are going to use CCPM, you want to use high quality digital servo's like the 9252 otherwise you will get interaction across the swashplate.

If you do not have these servo's or are not willing to invest the money in them, then you should set up your helictoper in MMS mode.

I am using 9202 servos for the CCPM on my Caliber 30. No interaction whatsoever.

I am using futaba s3001 on caliber 2, no problems with the swashplate, but only use same brand if you want proper operation....
