Audacity Models Pantera 50 - Tiger 50 > Waiting on Brown Truck

Just placed an order for a Tiger 50 kit. I wish I had made up my mind earlier in the week and ordered then. It is cold and we are expecting snow sometime tomorrow so I doubt if I'll head to the flying field this weekend. It would have been the perfect weekend to lounge around the house and build the Tiger. Now, I can only sit and wait on the brown truck to show up....and show how impatient and bored I am by rambling this post on here. Oh well, I can't wait to become a member of the Tiger family. Hurry up brown truck!

Strange how kids think alike. My 2yr old daughter will say "daddy, there is your airplane truck" whenever she notices one.

The Tiger is offered via 74 local hobby shops at present.

If you don't have a local shop available, then Heliproz, because they specialize in Raptors, doesn't have the Tiger. However, Ricks does!

Parts are always easy to get for this heli. I have NEVER had a problem getting them.

I have ordered from Ricks and Audacity.

Looks like allot of us are waitng on the "brown truck". I am waiting on my new engine and muffler. I even paid extra to get it here in 2 days. That is how desperate I am to fly this Tiger. I just walk by and spin the blades by hand from time to time just to see them spin

jbeech, hey you are being too serious here! i realize that heliproz doesn't carry tiger parts, i was refering to my venture 30 days after my local shop closed it's doors and i was forced to use the internet. i now buy most/all my tiger parts from my second closest hobby store in fort wayne in, but they are about 90mi from where i live so i still use the brown truck for parts delivery when more convient. i would like to add that the tiger is what led me to phils hobby shop in fort wayne, they are a great bunch of people over there. brian

Yeah, Shannon and the guys over there are a great bunch! I know I come off as too serious on occasion, but remmeber, there are lots of folks who don't post but read threads, or come into the thread a week later . . . and for them, the extra information is of value.

Hey John

When are you going to break into the Canadian market? That way I don't have to wait on the brown truck, I can just wait on the postman instead.

I heard a rumour PM Hobbies in Calgary was going to carry the Tiger and got all excited. Have since heard they're not.

Online shops to order from

Besides Ricks and Audacity's website are there other online sites to order Tiger related items. I've ordered from Ricks a few times. I just placed another order with them Monday, but I don't care much for placing an order via the web only to be called the next day to tell me something isn't in stock. So, any other hobby shops selling Tiger parts online?

BTW, based on the tracking info, the brown truck should show up at my door this afternoon with my Tiger and other goodies.

I'm surprised ANYTHING was out of stock for Rick's because they are very, very good about this. What was MIA?

Keep an eye on RC Hobbies and More.
I know their web site will be up in a cpl of weeks and in the mean time they are taking phone and email orders. They stock Tiger 50, most of the other major brands, and plenty of accesories. And they know helis.

The item MIA related to the Tiger was your Pro muffler. Placed an order for it, but the next day was called and told they didn't have them. The other item was one of those Greasers. I thought I may as well order one of them to help grease the bearings.

Yes, the ProMuffle PDR0053 has proven to be very popular! However, because I have a dog in this fight, I'll let customers speak for it. Here's a recent RR post.
