Does anyone have a Turbine powered heli. I see that Vario now sell the Jetcat as well as Graupner.
Any links or help on what is best.

first flight last weekend

I flew my turbine (VarioUSA Jetcopter SX)for the first time last weekend. What a machine - super smooth. The system startup/shutdown is fully automated. At idle (turbine at 33K RPM), the clutch is completely disengaged. Also, the turbine governs itself and keeps the head speed rock solid.

Yes, it's quite an investment. I am using it as a prototype platform for a GPS aided intertial navigation system. There is little-no vibration and it has good lifting capabilities for decent sized payload packages and fuel load.
