Hi Folks,

I have been considering the Tiger 50 over the Caliber 50. What type of blades come with the Tiger 50?

TIA,

Bart

Covered wood blades. I found them to be of great quality. There is a video on the website ( www.audacitymodels.com ) of a fellow flying his Tiger with stock wood blades. make sure you glue the blade roots of course and you shouldnt have a problem. Good luck with whatever heli you choose, you will really like the Tiger!

Hey Bart,

Please keep in mind that blades are a consumable item. If you are just starting out having carbon blades can be an expensive item to replace.

Also try not to make your decision on whether it has carbon blades or not. Look at the total picture. Ask questions. Pick the heli you like best. There are a lot of fine choices out there.

One thing to consider is how responsive the manufacturer is. Do they listen to you or does nothing happen when you talk to them? One nice thing about dealing with Audacity is direct access to John and also how fast things happen.

Don't forget the dealer network and Field Reps for support, that is why we are here.
We all know JB has been working OT and he can use the help.

Another benefit is hands on support that you can get at a local shop that you just can't get over the net.

Just remember -- if the world didn't suck, we would fall off.

Take a close look at the all linkages on the Caliber..... loads of them. It has an interesting collective setup where the aileron servos ride on a rack that kind of moves for and aft. Probably slightly better than rocking servo setup. I just see a lot of places for slop on the Caliber.
