I just had to replace the flybar in my 450 XL. I ordered HS1006 but I recive HS1006T (from Modefos ) and the definately don't fit. They fit through the bushings in the flybar control arm, but they won't fit through the ball bearings in the flybar seesaw. Is their two different sized flybars or did I happen to get bearings on the small side of mfg threshold and flybars on the larger side?

in my book the part number is HH4003.in the back it is hs1006. go figure!!!

I checked them on my digital caliber and the flybar is like barely larger then the stock XL kit one. .01 or .02 mm it's enough to not pass through the bearings though how fustrating >< Whats the correct flybar part number for the XL?

OR...........Quality control is very poor and align keep changing the sizes of flybar.

I had the same problem and I had to sand the flybar. There are 2 different flybars one from the old t-rex 1.97mm and the new one that is 1.95mm. And they use the same part#. Call Steve at rcheli.com he willget the right one.

I upgraded the flybar stuff on my 450X and 450X-V2 recently. I used the old flybars and found they didn't fit the ball bearings in the new flybar seesaw.

I chucked the old flybar in a variable speed Dremel tool, took a piece of 320 grit wet-or-dry sandpaper, then put the speed on the Dremel tool on low. Using the Dremel to turn the flybar, I ran the sandpaper along the length of the flybar, it took about five minutes to get the flybar to fit in the seesaw.

As far as I know the 1006t are the only ones that are for sale alone.

everyone I know has been sanding them down or using Shogun flybar and paddels.

It will in fact go in but you risk damaging both the flybar and bb's as you need to use a lot of force.

I usually out mine in a drill and sand them, done in 1 minute.

I thought there was two different sized flybars. The one that comes with the whole upgraded flybar assembly is different form the stock one. The one that come in the kit is slighty thicker. At least that is what I thought.

That is correct, it seems the coating is thicker on those that does not come with the alu flybar thingy

fwiw..

if you want to use the shogun paddles, use .078 music wire, 170 mm is about righr according to Finless...Fits great.

I got some flybars from grandrc four months ago and used one as a replacement at the weekend and its identical to stock.

Also, my buddy ordered replacement flybars from allerc two weeks ago, he used one as a replacement last week and its identical to stock also
