I'm looking to add a Logo 10 but I'm curious about its flight characteristics. I have a Sceadu 50 that I love for it's stability and its "flys like it's on rails" characteristics. How does a Logo 10 compare? I know it's smaller but I recently built a Swift and so far I have not been impressed. In some ways it's less stable than my T-Rex. How will the Logo compare to my Sceadu?

Curious...

..as to what did not impress you about the swift?

Here's the list:

1.) Vibrations. Not just the spool up/down that many others are getting but also during flight.

2.) Poor quality control. Out of the box my stock blades were so warped that one was 3 degrees off. I had to purchase a new set of blades. The swash is crap. Mine is notchy and not smooth at all. How about the main shaft. Again mine was bent out of the box. All totaled I have had to replace the main shaft, blade grips, spindle, and blades on a NEW heli just to get it airborne. That does not even include the swash which I'm not doing anything about yet. Century's response to this. "We have received numerous e-mails from people, some of whom don't even have the Swift." Bottomline...the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

3.) CG. This thing is so tail heavy it's not even funny. I've moved my lipo and everything else as far forward as I can and it's still tail heavy.

4.) The manual sucks. The control rod lengths are wrong and simple things like thrust bearings are not clear. Nowhere in the manual does it tell you which direction they go. Thankfully this is not my first heli so I know (and also have my Sceadu manual for reference) but what if this is someone's first heli and they need to rebuild the head? Compare the Logo manual, the Sceadu's, and even the T-Rex manual and you will see some very glaring omissions.

All said not a very good first impression for Century. Not even in the same league as Hirobo and I would put them even behind Align.

G Scott

Thanks for reply.

As this is my first heli from century, my experiences with them has not been as bad as yours...sorry to hear that you had all those problems. And they did nothing to correct or rememdy?

Going by your list...

1. The vib issue was narrowed down to adding an extra washer between blade grips and spacer. I have not experienced vibs during flight but did during spoll up and down which is now just dandy.

2. QC...Given that mine came with two missing canopy grommets; one missing set screw from the flybar control arms and one set of the plastic grip that you epoxy to the blades mismatched. I called and it was sent no charge. I had no other issues. The wood blades indeed suck as they do need considerable balancing but helimaxx carbons took care of that at twice the price of replacing one set of woodies.

3. CG...as I use a 6s lipo, I only had to cut 1-1/4" from the bottom of the canopy for the proper CG

4. Agreed on the manual...for a newbie it lacks better explanations for proper setups. As for the thrust bearings and or rebuilding...well...common sense helps out but sure sucks for those that dont have it. Then again this hobby is not for the non-tinkerer...agree?

Yours truly must have been a really bad ARF...it must have been set up on a friday before quit time.

I find mine to be nice and steady in high winds compared to the trex.

Once again thanks for sharing...I'm just trying to thread lightly as to not leave footprints.

Pistol you must like the swift....

Anyhoooo Logo 10 in relation to an Evo. I have both and I can tell you that you would love the L10. I can also tell you that since my L14 my Evo will be collecting alot more dust this upcoming summer. That is how good the Logos fly, all imho of course.

I have one word for the Logo 10's flight characteristics: s m o o t h ! ! ! And, I find them to be the least frustrating heli to work on. The instructions are great. If you follow them to the letter, you will have a great flying heli.

s m o o t h? its not smooth, its smoooooooooooth baby.

Your not gonna get any of that bent shaft rubbish. No vibes, if you put it together properly. This thing hovered hands off in its first flight, and still is after a year and a bit. Links are accurate + a nice alu swash.

You pay for the quality.

I have to agree with the concensus, the logo10 is a great flyer. I have a swift also but it's not as smooth a flyer as the logo. I also found the swift to be tail heavy and I just added to the problem by making a set of alumn fins for the swift. You just can't beat the logo for a stable flyer

Why not get a L14, if the wallet permits? Its got a driven tail, which would probably be the only reason why id buy it (plus those sweet frames)?
