Should be interesting. I think the competition will also make the existing sims a little better to. Knife edge will continue to make updates and expansions so I am positive that G3 will be out for a while.

As far as XTR goes, I don't really have an opinion. It was out about a year before G3and hasn't really seen any major overhauls. I think it is an OKAY sim, but the kids at XTR will have to step it up a bit to keep in the running.

Cool!! Two new sims on the way!

I got a couple of emails from Tru-Flite some months ago where they talked about making a new version of their sim. Wonder if they gave it up? Their web site is at http://www.tru-flite.org/

When Tru-Flite came in 1999/2000 (?) it was a huge improvement over my first Dave Brown simulator - check out the graphics in Dave Browns sim:

Dave Brown had one cool feature that none of the other have - it would estimate the price of the damage after a crash

I had a very quick go on the Phoenix sim yesterday at the 3D Masters .
It seemed pretty good .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

i also flew on the phoenix sim at the 3d masters and i personally think its just that little bit better then reflex plus its cheaper! only £80

I wouldn't personally agree with that, i still think that reflex is better but i suppose when they get some new models out on it, and other stuff it might be a little better, but reflex is bringing out there new update soon, so lets see what they come up with!

Has anyone looked at the FS One simulater? It looks superb. You can find video clips on the horizon hobby website. It's due out this Sept.
