| Just about everyone can explain this better than I can, but here goes...
you have normal, idle up 1 and idle up 2
In Idle up 2, with a pitch guage on the outer third of the main blade, make sure mid stick throttle gives you 0 pitch and 50% throttle on the carb. If not, adjust your linkages, not the radio. Then check for +11 degrees full pitch at max throttle, and -11 degrees negative pitch at low throttle. Use your radio to adjust. (+9 and -9 are good as well)(be aware that idle up 2 is normally where most people woud have their 3d curve, and low throttle stick would be set at 100% throttle also, not 0%. But for now, we are just getting everything aligned)
this ensures everything is symmetrical and aligned.
then, switch to normal mode, and adjust your percentages on pitch to your style
i.e beginner might be -2 +5 +9 in normal for hovering, throttle curve of 0, 25, 50, 75, 100, and in idle up 1, -4 +5 +9, throttle of 40, 25, 50, 75, 100 for aerobatics
OR
if you hover at 3/4 throttle stick, then normal might be
-2 0 +9 and idle up 1 might be -4 0 +9
If you are a beginner, you may want to make normal and idle up 1 the same, in case you accidentally hit your idle up switch in flight.
