Hey Piston....That's the same thing I just did to one of mine. that Venom head is exactly the same parts and I replace the whole head for $35 bucks...Flew just fine....well not like my Duzi head hornet II but better than it did with the worn head block.

Do all the stock Hornet head parts fit well on the Venom head block? I ordered one for a freind due to it looking the same but I wasn't sure if other parts would be required?

Futura,

I have seen your posts on other Forums-how does the X3D fly vs. the Venom? I have flown the Venom a lot and really like it, but I have been curious as to how it flies vs. the Hornet.

I post on other forums under Ah Clem.

Thank you.

I don't have an X3D, I have a hornet II. MY H2 is all Duzi and Microheli units so there is no comparison. As I recall, early on before all the upgrades, the H2 flew like the 22a but flew the same every time (as long as I didn't get stupid thumbs). I would set up the 22a and it would fly really well for a couple flights and then would get out of wack all on its own.....back to setup....over and over. The new venom parts on the 22a are doing the same thing...though I think they had less slop to begin with than the older walkera 22a parts.

the VNR3D alum head block is the only good part and is doing great. the issues with tracking and such are gone. Venom is supposedly coming out with a complete alum head upgrade soon....we will see!

The design is exactly the same except that the VNR3D has the motor driven tail. Its a "snappy" flier...very light, very quick.

Its all in the setup....must be perfect.

Futura,

Thank you for the information. It is greatly appreciated.

The Venom has been very consistant so far. Lots of fast forward flight, etc. but no rolls yets.

It flies very well so far.

The only slop that is accumulating is between the seesaw and the flybar cage. I am going to have to take it apart soon and install washer there.

Thank you again for the comparison information.

In comparison....the older parts needed the washer between the flybar carier and carier frame to begin with...sloppy brand new!

It seems they are learning and actually improving thier product some....thats good news.

i have flown the HB pro if flys realy goos good responce on roll and real straight flying will not pitch up like the hornet II or x3d but the parts on the HB pro wore out faster and i went back to the hornet
