| I'm surprize at what you said about performance...I would have thought more than a 70 in performance. Doesn't matter, the weight savings makes up for it

Hey Bill, I'm trying to be conservative as not to overhype, but it puts out like a 90. The tests showed more power after the conversion than the glow counterpart.
Size wise it is a .60 case so it's a drop in. I am not exactly sure of the hole alignment as I had a blank mount I used in the frames. Should be a match as well.
It comes with a pretty large muffler than rotates through 360 degrees, I used it with great success.
The weight is bare, I didn't do all up weight but I am sure it is about low-mid 30's.
Jason, they are running pretty cool at 50:1. No heating issues yet but I've been in the 60's so we'll see. The stock heads are pretty large.
Charles, it would be a pretty easy install on your glow XL. It will not work in existing gassers.
Stock glow gearing seems pretty well suited, the motor runs well anywhere 10-14K so you do the math and see what makes you happy.
And yes you can buy one today and off you go!
You'll need to fiddle with minor clutch/fan fit, length and mounting holes at the most, but it should be minor as the dimensions are close:
G90:
Width between centers of mounting holes: 50mm
Width of crankcase excluding mounting flanges: 42mm
Length from backplate to front of drive washer: 97mm
Height from bottom of crankcase to top of head: 108mm
Crankshaft size: 5/16-24
OS .61 SX-H
Width (between centers of engine mount holes): 52mm
Width (neglecting the engine mount flanges): 42.6mm
Length (from backplate to front of drive washer): 93mm
Height from bottom of crankcase to top of head: 100.5mm
Crankshaft thread size: 5/16-24
I think I answered everyone's questions, so have at it and enjoy! |
