This is a copy of an email I recieved from my local club. Sam, the member who's trailer was stolen, doesn't fly helis, but he is a heck of a nice guy.

If you guys don't mind keeping an eye out for his stuff, I would be greatful.

Here is a copy of the email I recieved:

Just wanted to let you all know that someone took Sam Farhat's trailer
last night. It was parked in front of his home in clark county, KY.
Please be on the look out for it and the planes that were inside. It
is a Haulmark 6 X 12 with drop tail gate. It is white in color. He
has vin number for identification purposes. He had several planes
inside as well. A pic can be provided if needed. In addition to the
planes he also had a 10 X 15 EZ up canopy.

Description:

33% edge 540 scratch built, red, white, and yellow in color. It had a
DA 100 on it.

Some kits.

A 90 size Funtana

EZ up canopy 10 X 15 blue in color, delux model.

If you see or hear of any of this stuff please contact me, Sam or the
local police. Also we would appreciate it if you would pass this along
to your friend and contacts.

UPDATE

It turns out that the trailer wasn't stolen for the R/C aircraft and equipment. This makes all of us feel better that it wasn't a modeler who stole it.

Sam's plane and some other of his items turned up floating in a local creek and were found by some fishermen this past weekend. The plane was down stream about a mile from a small bridge. I guess they only wanted the trailer and tossed all of the contents over the bridge.

I spoke with Sam today, and as expected the plane is a total loss. He has found out that insurance will cover EVERYTHING he lost.

The person who stole it, is lucky I'm in L.A. but not off the hook. I don't care if it's 20 years from now and a false lead. I'll knock you teeth through the back of your head for the thought. The jerk whom stolen the trailer is no doubt using it as his home in the woods, after all this is Kentucky we are talking about.
That would explain the edge floating down the river.
And I bet the easy up is being used as his front porch.

yeah it's not right for anyone to steal but not everyone in ky is like that just because you had one bad experience don't down the whole state if that is your attitude then mabey your stuff being stolen if has a good reason for it
