Greetings,
Well I just ordered an Evo 50 combo from Heliproz. Can't wait for it to get here! I started on a Shuttle, so I am a fan of Hirobo, and what I have read about the Evo has been great.

What I have so far:

-Evo 50 kit
-OS 50 SXH Hyper
-Mavrik 600mm Carbon G4 Blades

Need advice on what pipe to put with the OS 50 Hyper??

Thanks!

You're going to love the EVO. I have the OS 50SXh (non hyper) and am using the MP2 Quite on it. Working real well. What servos are you going to use? I am using Futaba 9252 and both cyclics and the collective. Gyro is 401 with a 9253 servo. On the throttle I have a Hitec HS 625. I am also using a Revlock 10 governour and am using a GEM 2000 voltage monitor. Have a 2500 mah nimh battery pack. I can get a good 3-4 flights before recharging, which I can do at the field. Welcome aboard and good luck ! Chuck

I am using the MP2 on my Hyper, and it has been pulling strong. I have Hitec 635HB servos on it, a 401 w/9253, GV-1 governor, 2700 mah battery pack I built myself, and I love this heli. I had great results with the TT CF600 blades, but someone told me to try some NHP Razor 620s, and if the weather out here ever clears, I will.

Wow, the ground was closer than I thought.

Pipe:
Leaning towards Hatori SB50HP.

Electronics:
Not sure on the servos. I have 3 Futaba S3151 digitals in my shuttle ccpm setup, with a JR NES-537 on the Throttle. Using a JR G500T gyro with the 810G servo.

I think I want to keep the Shuttle for a backup (for now), so I will probably pull the gyro and rudder servo out and then buy 4 new servos to put in the Evo.

I also have a 401 gyro that I could use.

So many choices!

Anyone have the part number for the SWM (CCPM) conversion. All of my helis have been CCPM, and I am thinking I might do the conversion.

Maybe it is not worth it.

hey theo2076,
I know I might be the minority here regarding pipes...but IMHO the Fun-Tech HN-50 rocks...it's not has finicky like the MP2 when tuning. It has power and very quite. If you do get the MP2 make sure you get the right ratio for the pipe. You will love the Sceadu...welcome to the family. As you can tell...Hirobo Forum numbers are easing up on those Raptors.

How high do they go? Are those things hard too fly? How much do they cost?

Main Gear Installation Question

So I am working on putting together my Evo kit, and the seconday main gear seems to bind with the tail gear. Seems there is a high spot on one of the gears??

Any suggestions?

OK...it seems very "loud" as well??? Is this normal.

I keep reading about dial indicating things? Do I need to do this here?

no, the only thing to dial indicate is the fan hub and clutch.

yea, the gears can be loud. Some people use the Delrin main and
small 17T 'counter gear' to quiet things down.

All black gears can be noisy.
