Yesterday I received the E-sky Cool for testing only for start I use the stock brush motor with brush controll Gws gyro pg 03 and 4 Esky servo's.
I tune the heli all the pitch curve and throttle curve then I tried
to hover but the stock motor don't have enough power even for hover.
Who fly with the stock brush motor? (may be mine is defective)
So after I don't succeed with the brush motor I took form my Trex the Align 430L (3550 kv) motor (btw fit perfect, and CG perfect also) and this thing is awesome I hover less then half throttle stick.
Flight time don;t check yet but I believe probably about the 10 min.
I use Dualsky pack 1700mah.

Hi Ori,

I also have the E-Sky Honey Bee Cool and planning to get this motor.

What size pinion are you using on this motor and do you know how many Amps does it draw ?

I also have replaced the stock motor with a MiniAc 1215/16 (3800 KV ) and 9T pinion but the motor gets very hot after some time. The Amp draw is less than 10 Amp but still the motor gets hot.

Also my pitch settings my be too high and will be checking it today.

I use the 11 tooth pinion that came with the align motor.
I havn't check yet how many Amps it draw.
I want to try the sab 280mm on.
Which pack you use?

I know a few people have tried the Sabs and say they work fine with the Cool. You just have to fit the shims from original blades to the Sabs.

I use 3S TP 1320 Gen2 & Prolites. I am hoping the amp draw with the 430L will be less than 13 - 15 Amps.

Please let me know whenever you measure the amp draw with this motor.
