BUILD UPDATE

well i can honestly say that this hes been one of the easiest heli i have ever built
very good manual ,and goes together just like its suppposed to
despite missing 8 bolts M3 x 10mm socket head bol(x8)(which i had in my extra bolt bin) and doing the Addendum part during the build it went together alot faster then i expected it to about 5 hours or so
engine and electronics is all that is left to do (fitting a tj pro on engine)
cant wait to fly it

Looks good. Congrats.

But she is NAKED.

Are you gonna paint it, or use stickers.

Let us know more about the build. And also how she flies.

At 5 Hours

it was an ARF, the last kit I built took about 17-18 hours and I've built a few of them.

yes i got the kit version
suggested by john becuase of the changes it was easier to just do the changes during the build then have to take the arf apart
ill say it again its the best manual i have ever seen very well thought out
cant wait to see a tiger 90 in the future

are there any critical changes that should be made if your going to keep it stock? no 3d or hard aerobatics. and is the arf put together reasonably well?...thank you...

there are a few changes that need to be made no matter which you get
so i would still suggest getting the kit verses the arf
jinx is this going to be your first heli ?

no, i've been out of it for about 15yrs. i had a concept 30, which i rebuilt couple times. built shuttle zxx and a raptor v1. the reason i asked about the arf is because i know if i get the kit that it will take me forever to assemble because i have to have everything perfect or near perfect....thank you...

well i can say that everything went together good and all the parts fit like a glove so you wont have any problems on that part
the main reason for getting the kit is to need to loctite the bearing on the clutch bell and a few things like that
so with an arf you would have to take it apart anyway to do that
thats why i suggest getting the kit
hope this helps ya

Sorry dude, When your message said 5 hrs I thought that was ready for flight with radio gear and engine and I assumed you were talking about an ARF, I have both an ARF and I built mine from Kit, I enjoy building and my son is much more advanced when it comes to flying.

In fact I enjoy my Tigers so much I just bought another one to put into a Bell 222 Scale Fuse.

Enjoy your Tiger, we've put cases of fuel through ours.

Foxden

hey no problem
i take it slow and make sure everything is just right so i might be a little slow at getting it together
putting the engine in today and the electronics
so far things i have noticed that are the same as my 2 ergo 50,s
main shaft ,flybar, spindle, tail boom ,tail belt
so with that said i have alot of spares

so the addendum shows what needs to be changed? i looked at the addendum on line but some of the changes i won't need, like the blade grip flip, changing the seesaw, and the tail pitch control mod.these won't be needed for general forward flight? correct?....thank you..

correct but every post (and even john says ) that i have read about it says to do the mod on the tail due to the plastic nubbies (lol) wear pretty quick
its all up to you on how you want to do it
i like it alot already and i havent even flown it yet lol
