Congratulations. I went from a Blade to a Tiger and WOW what a world of difference. I was like thats easy...well compared to the Blade it was. But if you can fly a Blade I think you will be able to fly almost anything.

Blade to Tiger, I'm seeing more and more of that. Most suprising to people is how easy a T50 is after flying a little electric.

Great job and good luck

I'll admit I'm not a great pilot, but I can hover with the best of them.

exactly, for anyone new to helis, and still wondering - the blade is a great way to start. I think I had about 30 crashes learning to fly on the blade, and so far It's helped enough I haven't had any crashes on my bigger electric and gas helis. The few dozen crases I had on the blade all required at most $10 to $15 bucks in repairs, and really only a few good ones cost money at all, most of the crashes onto soft ground were free of charge. Just straigthen the mainshaft and spindle and away you go again. I think my total in repairs going from zero heli experience to good heli experience and outgrowing the blade cp was about $150 bucks. To put it in perspective I have a friend learning on a raptor 30, his first 2 crashes cost about the same as all mine on the blade, and he still has a long long way to go.

I'm definitely glad i started on the blade. Major, hit it on the head there with the blade comment as in the repairs are cheap! Ive had allot of crashes on that little thing little ca glue and packing tape and its ready to go again, great little heli in my opinion. G3 helps also but i had the blade before i got the sim.

Same here. Here is my order of progression.

1) Realflight G3

2) Blade CP - Many crashes but finally nose-in hovering and forward flight.

3) Tiger 50 - maiden flight this Spring.

After having the Blade CP, I am glad it was my first heli. Tough to fly for a beginner, but cheap to wreck and learn the basics of heli setup with a much simpler mechanism. The Blade CP users bitch about the $15 replacement mains but to me it's a bargain. All relative.
