| i use one on one of my sceadu's.
i feel that it made a difference. its totally possible i was imagining but i felt that in sustained rolls i could keep them going a lot longer with the torque tube than with the belt. not blowing them by losing headspeed or eventually coming to a stop from forward flight and coming into tumbles.
i also noticed it in autos and i would say this is a highly debated topic on wether or not they help, though like i said i feel they do. when autoing my sceadu with the shaft drive/torque tube i felt i had more time, and more of a chance to recover from screwing up at the end of an auto. with the belt drive i felt my headspeed deteriorated faster and therefore more rushed and had to get it right.
not to mention the fact the tail loosens up the head so much it will freely spin in the wind WHO wouldnt like THAT?!
just one man's opinion.
edit: two things also. soon im going to convert my belt to one also, like i said i feel its worth it.
only con i would say, is crash price increases if you jack the shaft or gears. replacement parts are expensive not to mention its $120-$150 upgrade. |
