e-E-Flite Blade CP CX 400-3D > Eclipse 7 and Blade CP.

Yesterday I walked out of my LHS with a Blade CP.
I don't know what happened to me in the LHS, LOL.
I have an Eclipse 7 on CH 21 and my Blade CP is also on CH 21
So I am assuming I need a single conversion crystal CH 21
for my 4 in 1 or does the 4 in 1 work.
And go from there ?
Anything else ?

Thanks in advance

The STOCK crystal worked well with my Eclipse. Do you have the Spectra module?

do a search under the Blade CP CX and you will find another thread just like this and it talks about a reciever upgrade because the CP is a negative shift and the Eclipse is not.

Good Luck

The Eclipse 7 is shift select . So you can set it for positive or Negative. A nice Eclipse Feature

No I do not, but both Eclipse and my CP are on channel 21
Thanks for the replys. I will give it a try.

No prob. I had to play with the swash settings (obviously) to get it dialed in but when I did it made a nice difference.

Enjoy!

Stack, could you please share what settings you used. I can't seem to get everything in sink. Collective and roll directions are fine but pitch is reversed. If I remember correctly, to get it to work with my Eco when I had it, I had to move front servo to the rear of the swash.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Pitch direction can be reversed in the swash ratios. Do a bit of searching as there have been several posts written on CCPM setup with various transmitters.

i also have an eclipse but jsut cant seem to get it configured. i think it has to do with the servos, i read in a thread that the eflight servos and HS-55's are reversed, got me thinking, perhaps if you switched all the servo's to 55's, then it might work, just a guess. has anyone successfully gotten the eclipse to work with the blade?

You should have no problems with the servos. I configured 3 BCPs with my Eclipse. It was definitely a little confusing at first but eventually it all falls together. Keep track of all of your changes on paper as well, this seemed to help me when I was trying to get it all sorted out.

Worst case: clear everything out and start over.

The biggest problems I had when setting up was that I had to reverse one of the swash settings to get the proper collective movement and having to set my end point on the throttle to 125 in order for the 4 in 1 to recognize low stick.

Other than that a few trial and error items and I was good to go. You also might want to unplug servos and work them one at a time.

Perhaps the info in this thread will help. You may have to read the entire thread as I was attempting to help someone get setup.

Okay.. here we go:

EPA: 100 across the board except for CHAN 3 which is at 125 (for arming)
SWAH: +70,+70,+70
RVMX: 0%
PTCV: 44,48,50,60,75 (normal mode , but I just use for spooling) As you probably know, your #s will be different!

THCV: 0,25,58,76,76 (normal mode, again just for spooling)
Idle1 and Idle2 I run something like 90,90,85,90
Hold: INH
GRYO: Doesn't matter
R-T: 0
PMIX 1&2: INH
TCUT: 0

REV: 1N,2R,3N,4N,5N,6R,7R
STRM: all aroun +/- 2
EXP: Set @ 30 right now

Exactly what problem are you having?

except the pitch

My normal and Idle 1 Pitch curve are both the same.
20 35 50 65 80 ( I like the linear pitch, when you go from nornal to idle 1 there is no sudden bump because the the same pitch )
I only use 20 Expo

I hear ya.. I wasn't even going to post my pitch settings in order to avoid confusion.

As long as your settings match up at a certain point from Norm to ID (for me, a little over half stick) you won't get the jump (or drop) as long as you switch over in that general area on the stick... Matching them up is a great place to start though.

I personally don't like full neg pitch in normal and had some bogging with my high throttle curves in ID so exactly matching up the pitch curves wasn't working out for me the way I liked. All depends on your setup!

My curves are also very similar, cool.

Expo on the eclipse is a negative number to ease the control some, no?

thanks you guys, it works

i have a small problem, i found my collective to be alot more sensitive, sticky almost, than with the stock tx, and the heli seems to be more touchy as well. any suggestions to tame it down?

Try fine tuning with the Hover and Throttle pitch knobs.
Or fine tune your collective and throttle at points 2 to 4
