NEW guy here and this raven 30 was set up by someone else. I am a novice and can only kind of hover around etc. I've only ran 3/4 gallon in it and all seamed well with my training gear on. today I clipped the tail rotors in the dirt and dinged up the end of one blade. but after cleaning and examining the tail rotor tonight I noticed when I move my stick left the ball link on the tail pitch plate hits up against bellcrank (hope this makes sense). anyway I don't remember it ever doing that but maybe it did BUT it does not seem safe? what could have happened? and what can I do as I am new and lost HEEEEELP.

could I adjust the rudder travel to make it not hit it but does that not effect the turning of the bird?

please help I wanna fly

thanks for everything guys

Well, IMO you has to set your ATV until it not touch.............This will not afect turning the heli. Maybe when you are more advance then you will fill that you need more tail authority........But since you are on the learning stage that does not matter.

Also, I recomend you check your gears inside the tail rotor case. They usually get damage if your tail blades hit the ground. Check for some teeth loss in the gears............

Good Luck,

Jason,
This is normal for the design of the tail, you mentioned when you give left rudder, this normally occurs when you give right rudder. Check the servo , make sure when you move the rudder stick to the right the rudder pushrod will move forward. Also search back in the Century threads for more info on this, there are a couple of different way's to deal with this. I'am running a futaba 240 gyro and I cannot adjust the atv, to stop this. The gyro will limit the throw enough to not cause any problems in flight, the pain is when your on the ground with the 240, and you swing the tail left the gyro slams the servo full right and locks up the tail. My raven is a great flying helecopter, so once you get a little better you will really enjoy it.

Thanks all! anyone else know why this would have changed all of the sudden? or maybe it was like this before and I never noticed

I've adjusted my ATV on the transmitter to not allow it to go that far so I hope if I get time tonight to fly her and all will be OK. I am using the century pg2000 II gyro and it was working fine so I hope my luck continues.

the raven is a great bird mine has a bunch of upgrades and the alum. servo armes in blue and purple that just look cool. I really am enjoying it with no ability at all yet but I know I'll grow into it
