Just playing with you, as amater of fact I have found that the florecsent green shows up very well. I had my 60 notro painted with it as it was the paint I had on hand. To my surprise it was very visable. I am just not a green fan.

Ok, let the flame wars begin! LOL.

That's a great looking canopy even if it really is chartreuse

AMA says I can't do drag racing......I think they're scared!

Anyway, Thursdays are usually our "slow" day of the week, so I was able to make a lot of progress on the build.

The fins are installed, you can see the rear boom clamp, effectively "squeezing" the boom around the gearbox adding to the security.

The fuel bottles are plumbed. Always tye wrap the fuel lines to the fittings, especially on internal lines.

What did I tell you, its fun to launch the Bergen turbine full throttle. Execpt for the first time you do it.

Chris

Dakine's choice of radio gear. Due to the placement of the receiver at the rear of the heli, most servos require extensions. All connections are heat shrunk, then all wiring is covered in this neat wire wrap we picked up at IRCHA. It looks good, works for anti-chafing, and is chemically treated to not burn. It will melt, (trust me on this, it smells bad too) but will not continue burning.

Servos installed with 2.5mm SHCS and 2.5 washers. The Futaba screws don't fit into our plastic servo mounts.

Preliminary wiring setup. I say preliminary because it usually takes me a couple of tries before I get it the way I like it. One of my Pet peeves, I guess. I like a clean wiring job.

Impressive intrepid video there.

I'M excited for Dakine to get this heli. This thread would make waiting for my new heli torturous if it were mine. I can't wait to see some of the video off of these rigs.

I must be getting old. I've learned to deal with patience

[Praying to God] God, please control Chris and not let him have any temptations to do full climb outs on my new Intrepid Turbine like he did in his bad a$$ video[end of prayer]

Chris, are the colors on the canopies similar to what I see on the screen (lite green)? Or, is it similar to Greg Alderman's colors? I had asked Ricko to paint them the same colors as Greg Alderman's. Greg, yes I stole your canopy colors and scheme! It's a compliment to you

I wanted one similar to Gary's canopy as well but I wouldn't be able to see the damn thing when it's in the air. Perhaps I'll get a canopy painted like Gary's and only use it when it's on the ground for show

Thanks

colours

Hi Tony,
The colours you chose are slow flying colours, you should have had it painted in my colours, you just take off , and it blends into to the sky, and the speed that it disappears at is like hyper speed.Of course it's powered by a purple turbine eater, jokes aside it's a beautiful machine you are going to have there, and no one will miss it in the air in those bright colours, hope you got the right guy building this helli, just be sure he know's which end of the turbine goes where, and maybe you will be okay!
Will be quietly watching as you proceed along the road to your first flight.
Have many safe flights,
Best regards,
Dqave.

WHAT GOES UP MUST SURELY COME DOWN.
