| Hi,
The only problem I had with the plastic fan was keeping it attached to the alluminum hub, pull the stock screws out of the inner part of the fan, throw them away after you find some hardend replacements the rite size (stock ones will shear)
Fill the screw hole with green loctite and put the new screw in (the loctite will be forced into the hole and will help to carry the load between the fan and hub).
Check the fan for balance, mark the lite side, dril a hole under one of the fan blades a few thousandths larger than the magnet (you have to leave a little room for the glue). Clean the magnet with rubbing alcohol, mark the side that needs to face the sensor and use 30 minute epoxy to hold it in (ca is too brittle). Make sure you clean the epoxy off the top side when it squeezes thru.
Balance it again after getting the magnet installed.
The metal fan is easier since its once piece, just depends on what you want to spend for a few extra minutes of work. Every fan test I've seen so far shows the metal fan does move a lot more air than the stock plastic fan but if you dont live in a hot climate its probably not worth worrying about.
Edit: Since you live in florida you might want to consider the metal fan for those hot summer days coming soon
