Does anyone know if any of the other kyosho canopies fit the Caliber 30?
I've located this one:

http://www4.ocn.ne.jp/~correct/

from another post on this forum. Just wanted to check for other options before I ordered one.

It also looks very much like the Caliber 90 canopy. Im quite sure it's a 30 tho since it says 30 on the canopy and at the table. Check the link to Jason's site. Much other nice stuff there like other pics of that fully upgraded Caliber 30. Nice golden stuff =D

Yepp and soon maybe shiny CNC mixer arms, or maybe I´ll go for the std. plastic ones. Hate to wait.
But soon will have the same kind of blades - NHP
And hey once my batteries are charged my starter spins like an F3D starter, but maybe it was the glow that caused the "arrival" today.

"Go F3D"

Cheers

skycom,

I emailed the "correct" company in Japan and they charge about $82 to get that canopy to the US. No decals. Made for the Caliber 30. $82 includes shipping by EMS. I was thinking of changing but that's too steep a price to pay for a canopy.

I'm wondering just how long I will be able to last with the stock canopy. I do not think it will last long before I replace it with something else and I have not even received my caliber 30 yet.

d-n-jensen,

There is massive peer pressure to change the stock canopy!!

Everyone thinks it's ugly. I mean EVERYONE!!

When the raptor and its canopy first came out I thought "what were they thinking?". Then you saw them everywhere and the rest is history. Now the new king of ulgy is here. I'll have to wait until I mount it to determine if I can live with it (or for how long).

Sharam - I ordered one of the correct canopies. It was here within 3 days, Japan to UK, thats fast. The canopy itself is a reasonable finish. However, it is moulded in two halves with the join in line with the fuselage. i.e. running through the screen and nose. Whilst the joint is secure, it has a ridge which requires some finishing before applying decals or painting.

Skycom,

Thanks for the update. I am a little reticent in spending $82 for a canopy. I think I will hold off for a while. Post a pic of yours when it is finished if you can.
