Hi ShellDude,

Hmmm... that's odd, I got mine from Grand R/C and I believe it's their 1st batch sent from Horizon, so I'm not sure if there were some manufactured earlier than that batch, but I notice that mine don't have the "cheat sheet" label under the TX. I guess, whatever method you use, as long as it fit your flying needs, should be fine.

Hi Rob_T

Great observation, and yes, you can reverse the sensitivity to make the Stunt switch position more sensitive than the Normal switch position. You do need to go the other direction, (-) negative, on the GEAR Subtrim value to make the gyro in HH mode in both switch position and similarly in the GEAR Travel adjust, the negative value on the Stunt switch position will increase the sensitivity.

There are some flexibility in this radio after all. Thanks.

There is one more thing you must be aware of in the DX6 and it is all over the manual in several places. The receiver stores the values at bind time as the "fail safe". If you later change the rudder trim but don't redo the bind, then the fail safe is different from the trimmed rudder position. When you first power on, the fail safe positions are the only things the servo positions see until the receiver has found its bound transmitter on some channel. When they finally sync, then the servo positions from the transmitter apply. This can be quite some time, so if the gyro sees the "fail safe" position while it initializes and then later the receiver sees the trimmed value the tail will always drift.

The amount of time it takes to sync may be longer or shorter depending which channels the transmitter picked when it was turned on and be the reason it works sometimes and not others.

It appears many places in the DX6 manual that you must redo the bind process if you ever trim the rudder.

Sounds like time to mod a 2610 and do the job properly

the rebind / failsafe / trim issue still exists, even with a 6102 or 2610.

Re-binding is just the final step in setup for me which I generally only have to do once as I trim my tail mechanically and never touch the rudder trim tab on my radio with helis, so re-binding after trimming doesn't apply to me. My method usually takes a few attempts to get right (fly land adjust repeat) which isn't really much more involved than trimming with the radio (fly trim land re-bind)

Deetee.. did you actually try the negative setting so that stunt mode would be the more sensitive? If so, and if it worked, could you post detailed settings please?

Hi Widowmaker,

Yes, I did actually tried it and it does work, but unfortunately, I am not using the DX-6 for helicopters for quite sometime and I totaly don't remember the details, but set the SUB-TRIM to negative value (in my case -55) and adjust the TRAVEL ADJUST to your desired gyro sensitivity. I hope this helps.
