Aerobatic FAI F3C Contest > SAB205 - what hovering headspeed?

Hi,
I'm experimenting with different hovering headspeed on the SAB205 main blades and Hirobo FFZ-3 rotorhead.

I usually hover the heli at around 1550 -1600 rpm. However, this headspeed is only good on calm days. When the wind comes, the heli feels jumpy.

I'm wondering at what headspeed do the others hover with the SAB205?

I use to hover 1450 - 1550 on my Dyna-X depending on wind conditions. It seems to sit a lot better on hover with the SAB 205 than any blades I have tried before.

What dampeners you have? You could try a bit softer dampeners on FFZ-3.

Hi

On my Hirobo EX2 with the ssr 7 head ??? ( same as E3 ) I use 1400 to 1450 in the hover and the 205 blades.

Above that i also find it 'jumpy' in the wind.

I find i need to use +- 80% of the cyclic control atv and quite a steep throttle curve with this low rpm for it to feel 'normal'
