Well I've switched gears. Rather than build another 3D heli I decided to go with a scale Hirobo Vertol.

I spoke with Jeff today and tomorrow I'll drive down for lunch and to pick up the kit.

As of five minutes ago I bought 6x 9252 servos, a bunch of 12" servo extensions, a new Hyper 50 (just because), a new receiver, and a CSM RevLock govenor.

Thanks to rotorpsyco I've got a better handle on what to expect as well as a couple of neat ideas such as a light kit, working winch, and a working rear ramp. Now all I need is a package of those little green army men

Any tips on this kit and things I might wish to do to make it more scale like would be appreciated.

We'll get the Piper Cub and Floker out and my Bell 47 along with this one for a scale day. Then Jon can send up one of his "Full Scale" Rockets

Depending on the level of detail, this build will take me at least through the winter.

I'll be sure to bring it up on one of my road trips.

Does anyone know where I can get some in-depth information on the Hirobo mixer used on this kit?

I’m at the point where I’m setting up the linkages and I need to be sure the mixer is set properly so that I don’t waste my time doing this without the proper mixer settings.

Set Up Info

I know that Rotary was doing a review/build on this unit, and was supposed to do a second edition that would include the set up, but I never saw it listed in the next issues... but I could have just missed it since I do not have a subscription.... but it might be worth checking thier site...

It also contains a 7 page instruction book on the 3 way mixer system. all in pdf file formats.

Do not select the English language.
Look under spare parts and scroll down to the Vertol.
