The spektrum is only allowed on park flyers and the such currently - NOT recommended for larger ships that fly farther away from the TX.

There is absolutely NO comparison of the features or price of those two radios. The DX6 has only three flight modes and three point curves with very few other features and costs $200 for the tx, rx, and 4 servos. The Multiplex EVO Royal is a full featured, feature laden radio which costs a whole lot more than $200 for just the tx.

What is your real question?

Spektrum has a limited range & is only recommended for small aircraft that stays "close in" to you. Hasn't been out long enough. If you get one you can do their R&D work for them. Multiplex may be great, I don't know. If you ever need any help you'll be much better off with JR or footaba.

I also think they are in a different league.

If you fly mainly Helis, get the Evo 9, the only differences are the number of channels and the number of memories (20 vs 36). Since you can back-up the memories on your PC, 20 is plenty for me.
