Can Thunder Power TP2100-3S batteries be used on a Corona with a brushless setup. I just picked up a Corona and would like to know if I can use the batteries that I fly on my Shogun...

Thanks,
Chads

I am flying my Corona on TP 3s 2100's (mega 16/15/3 and a CC Ph35 ) . However you need to parallel 2 of the packs for a 3s2p configuration to provide enough amps. It would be very hard on a single 3s1p 2100 TP battery. BTW The Corona flys so much better on LiPO's than the the old round cells. A weight savings of about 8oz. With my 3s2p battery I get 15 of mixed flying time no problem.

I put a TP 3s2p 4200 mah on my corona which has a brushed atomic force and measured almost exactly 14 amps at hover with a watt's up meter. But if you use the lighter battery and minus the 2.5 oz meter, the amps are probably lower. At least 20 minute flight times.

I've been flying my Corona on the TP 2100 Li-pos with very good results. I agree that 2 in parallel would be much better. With one, I get around 8 minutes of flight time. Two of my Batts are basically shot, and the 3rd is starting to show less capacity. I am looking to buy new li-pos in the 4000 range, but am not sure what to get. The TP pro lite 4000 is over 7 inches long (yikes!! I'd have to mount it under the fuse) and the 4200 is shorter but heavier--this may be the one I go with.

Any suggestions?? Thanks.
Chris

Edit: Just bought a TP 4200 Lipo. Very nice. I've flown twice getting 21 minutes (max) out of it. ESC, batt and motor slightly warm but not hot. I've not flown 20 minutes in one flight--10 minutes at a time.

I have the 3s2p MaxAmps pack that is long and skinny. I am trying to figure out how to mount it on my BT Blade crutch. To get the balance right, it has to go very far forward. I haven't flown it yet because I am afraid of crashing with it sticking out the front so far...how do you guys mount your batteries? I put the JR landing gear on so I could mount the battery on the bottom, but it sits so far forward, it doesn't even hit the rear clips.
