Betafazzo - Your head speed must be too high.

Betafazzo, try hooking up the stock main motor and see if the tail motor can keep up with it.

Yeah..,my stock 370 motor and 9t whit simetrical blades, 3 cell lipo work great whit the tail setup, (gws edp50/4520 prop), the himax 4100 have amazing power even whit 8t..

I'm charging batteries....

I'm gonna go home and take a video of mine. I just put on a 9T pinion yesterday.

One thing you can do is go fully seperates. That'll mean esc/gyro/motor for tail. The motor everyone recommends is feigao long can motor 12x30mm 4100kv.

Betafazzo - are you using the stock Transmitter or programmable one? Thanks!

Don't know how many of y'all saw my other thread about going brushless, but I was wondering if anyone else has tried a solderless solution that is workable. I'm going to have a go at making some shorter servo wires. I may be a bit too ignorant, but I can't figure out how to use the stock gyro and get everything to plug into the 4in1.
Any tips, suggestions or thoughts would be great!

Betofazzo - thanks for the info. I think the reason others are successful with 4100Kv motor on 3s lipo, is because they have a programmable radio and are turning throttle down to 60-70%.

Is there any chance for you to try 2s lipo and 10t pinion?

I think its a bad tail motor. I just flew mine with 4100kv 9t pinion with a gwd dd, and it keeps up with it great. I'm getting the yoyo , ended up crashing and the tail boom is gone now.

I have a razor mhv2 (4300kv) in my hb cp2, with the dd and a 3020 prop and a gy240 on the tail....... worked fine..... then I went and screwed up my settings on my 9c and wacked it into the ground. broke a part that nobody has in stock in the US. so i ordered 3 from ebay (coming from Hong Kong i think) may be grounded a while

crazhorse, did you ever get the yoyo in your cp2? I just can't seem to solve it. I got all new head parts and its still doing it.

Hope you get it back up soon. I had a tail boom crash too

How does the GY240 hold the tail using the GWS DD motor?

Cool, I bought an 8,9 and a ten I was thinking of putting the 8 on for longer flight times. How do you like the razor on it?
