Futaba Servos in a Vigor...?

Hi!

Does the frame of the Vigor accept Futaba Servos as well as JRs or is there any modifications required to make Futabas fit???

I use Futaba servos in both my Std Vigor and CS, they fit fine, no trouble at all.

Simon, is the fan shroud of the CS large enough to fit the Webra 91 without troubles??

The Webra 91 is in my Std Vigor, but the shroud is the same as the CS. The Webra fit's in fine, wouldn't want to be any bigger though! It's a big engine alright!
It only JUST fits in the engine mount. Infact I filed some off the engine mount to make a better fit.

Now that I've got the CS manual I start getting familiar with the Vigor.
I guess that one could happen to be my next heli.
Unfortunately there's one thing that I don't like and that is the gear ratio of 8.4:1. I prefer headspeeds higher than 1800 for the F3C pattern and with this gear ratio I would kill the engine, no matter which one it would be. I'd like to have 7.9:1 or 8:1. 80T main gear with 10T pinion or something like that. Is this option available or at least anything that is different than the original one??

Buy the 88t main gear and the 11t pinion. This will give you 8.0 gear ratio. This is what Curtis flies with his CS and OS 91.

They actually recommend the lower gear ratios for the Webra. In both of mine I'm running the 10 tooth which gives me 8.4:1. Let me know how you go with your 8:1 ratio, I could see myself going there!

Hi again!

I'm going to test fly the Webra 91 in my FREYA with a 7.92:1 gear, Zimmermann muffler (50mm) and CP 12,5%.
I will keep you informed about the results if you like, but I'll need probably one more week to get it finished.
I ran 7.92:1 on the YS 80 with very good results (F3C only).
As for the Vigor,it's an impressing helicopter in every aspect; I'm seriously thinking of buying one. I just can't find the part numbers of the 88T main gear and the 11T pinion.
