Running 8.45 at 1800rpm seems to be close to limit of the engine.

Wondering if 8.08 would bring it more into its powerband while allowing more headspeed.

I, and others I fly with, use 1900 head speed at 8.45. Runs great with SB-16FH.

Wow, that's 16,055rpm on the engine,
YS specs say it's usable rev range is to 15,000rpm.
And it sounds a bit unloaded on 8:45 - reving very freely.

I just switched from the MP2 to the Hatori SB16FH. At the higher rpms, I really think you get more power from the Hatori. The MP2 must be tuned for a slower speed.

Got another question for you guys. How long are your engines lasting at those rpms??

My mate runs his YS at 8.45, 1800rpm in his Stratus & has put through 400 litres of 20% Coolpower. Only part he has changed is the piston ring!!

I find that hard to believe!
