Radio - Servo - Gyro - Gov - Batt > 14MZ touch screen problem?

I'm finding it increasingly hard to get the 14MZ to recognise a 'down-arrow' command on the model select screen. i.e. to scroll down the list of models. I can get around this by selecting the scroll bar and then using the wheel, but wondered if anyone else has seen this problem as I want to get it fixed within the warranty period.

I've tried calibrating the screen many times, and also notice a problem there. Most times, after pressing on the centre cross followed by the cross in each of the four corners I'm just left with a blank screen when I believe there should also be a final cross in the centre (If I press where I think it should be then it continues - but may obviously have messed up the calibration). I always use the stylus supplied with the 14MZ.

Anyone else had a problem like this, and any idea of Ripmax response time in the UK, i.e. how long will I lose my Tx for?

I know of only two people in the UK, who have needed new screens in their 14MZ. Ripmax have them in stock and did them within the same day.

Give Jim a call at the service centre.

Press and hold. The screen response is delayed so accidental touch won't do anything. If you are still ahving problems, recalibrate the screen.

Modtron:-

Thanks, it's obviously one of the very few to develop a fault. Best that it happened under warranty.

Scarecrow:-

Tried all that many times but no improvement

Dialarotor:-

No comment needed, except to say the 14MZ is the best radio on the planet bar none!

Thanks all.
